Writing Powerpoint...your excitement for incorporating technology into your classroom is contagious. Do not be afraid to make mistakes because everything is a learning experience for you and your students. Where will this powerpoint be placed? Please share.

I love your enthusiasm for this new knowledge. It will be fun to watch you grow in your knowledge and experience. Remember to keep this living document breathing. Practice regularly. About the teacher page.
Great job Alena
Alena, You have put great thought into the layout of your weebly and how it will serve you and your students. I really like the consistency of information and layout. This is important to me. I also know that your students will appreciate the youtube clips that you have provided; they will enforce what you need them to know. Your explanations of different terms that will be commonly used is also a great best practice. I will be watching as you grow your site.

Learning is fun...when everything works well
Learning is fun and exhilarating when everything from the technology works well, but meanwhile the frustration buildings when little pieces of the puzzle don't work right. I want to create a movie for freshman orientation in the library media center. I need to incorporate my information literacy standards and the movie along with the tour of the LMC.

that spot
As I walked I noticed a spot
I wondered what it got
then I realized the bad
of using got instead of had
but rhyming is addictive
but again very restrictive
When I return to that spot
I imagine it filled with cement
for which the hole was meant
slightly wet and setting up
an initial to be neatly etched
to be continued...

Technology as a Learning Tool in a Best-Practice Classroom
This week we are focusing on how technology can be used in the classroom. We are a varied group. One elementary teacher (1st), one middle school (6), one high school (9,10,12 English), one high school media specialist and two college dudes. Day one we discussed some interesting articles and shared what we wanted to learn during this week. I managed to delete a whole set of transitions and effects while working with moviemaker. Drat!
